An example of a highly customized Mausoleum Cremation Urn Cabinet, complete with three secret compartments. Contact us for a quote.

Funerary urns, cinerary urns, and burial urns have been utilized by many civilizations, with archaeological evidence dating all the way back to the Bronze Age.  In ancient Rome around the early 1st Century CE, the columbaria were built. Columbaria literally means dovecote, a many chambered structure designed to house doves or pigeons. In these columbaria, a multitude of

funerary urns would be housed, each in its own small chamber.

As a New Orleans native, I was inspired to design these Mausoleum style Cremation Urn Cabinets as a personal homage to my heritage, and also because of my deep reverence for those loved ones who have passed on.  The very first cabinet, I built for myself. For many years I desired a permanent resting place for my cremated pets, and the ashes of a few beloved relatives. It gave me a great sense of accomplishment and pride to place them into something that honored their memory. This is a cabinet that may be passed down through the generations as a family heirloom.

Cremation Urn Display Case

These Mausoleum style Cremation Urn Cabinets are approximately 36 inches tall, and are intended for indoor use only.  They may be affixed to a wall, placed onto a stand or any sturdy flat surface.

The faux marble tombstone is attached with knurled brass screws featuring decorative brass rosettes. It is fully customizable and may be engraved with a family name, names, dates and an epitaph.

The cabinet has one adjustable shelf with three height options. The flat area behind the pediment allows for the display of photos or other memorabilia.

If one so desires, there are options for the crown of the pediment. There are two different styles of crosses, and four styles of draped urns. Click on the left image for additional pictures and specifications.

The finish on the two available models is, 'weathered,' but traditional whitewash, and faux marble are available as custom options.

Custom designs, including family tomb reproductions, are welcome. If you have any questions, or desire more information, please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss your ideas.
